Known for his monumental compositions, flattened forms, and luminous color fields, Katz has long explored the expressive potential of flowers as both subject and structure. In this silkscreen, blooms emerge with striking clarity against a simplified ground, their vivid color and crisp contours emphasizing the artist’s interest in light, surface, and immediacy. White Roses is based on the 2013 work, Tulips 4, in the collection of MoMA.
