Corrosion, erosion, rust, fading or peeling layers of paint, and other imperfections are constants that inspire me. These changes remind me that life and beauty are all around us. Human beings are like these spaces and surfaces, transformed by life's experiences and the passage of time. I look for —in the lines on a face, in a spirit, in a body, in a voice, in a person's hopes— life and beauty in every being. When I am creating I connect myself with an invisible space beyond the tangible which inspires me.”
