A key proponent of the New York Pop scene, Baechler utilized methods of casting and stenciling paper to create works from paper. Using the physicality and chromatic intensity of pigmented pulp in his minimal compositions, Baechler developed a very detailed surface texture of countless layers, allowing colour interactions between each sheet to blend and inform one another.
