Biography

Eric Hibit is a visual artist who lives and works in New York City. He obtained his BFA from the Corcoran College of Art & Design in 1998, followed by an MFA from Yale University in 2003. He has taught studio art at institutions including Cooper Union and NYU, and was the recipienet of the Terra Foundation residency in Giverny, France (2003) and a UNILEVER Residency in New York (2015), among others. Hibit is the author of Color Theory for Dummies (Wiley, 2022). He is the current Co-Director of the artist-run gallery Ortega y Gasset Projects in Brooklyn, NY, where he has curated exhibitions since 2014.
